This is an email we receive often.
We understand that predictability is a good thing, BUT can you give us a little room to surprise you?
There are lots ofthingsyou“don’t really eat”that you’ll suddenly find yourself liking—you just don’t know it yet…
The reason we don’t post our menu on the website isn’t just the sense of wonder we want to create around the food; it’s also part of our ethos.
It is more important to us to buy locally sourced and fresh ingredients than to serve the same thing every day.
We support our local producers; many of them are small, and we don’t always know what will be available from day to day. This leads to some variation, but we’re happy with it!
By the way, the head chef is going to try to make ice cream out of the mushroom in the picture, which is so strange that even I, the company’s general manager, am a bit confused. So maybe a surprise would be better?

Every Saturday, we serve a delicious brunch at Allmuen. A wonderful midday break in downtown Bergen.
The food is served as a sharing concept. Price is NOK 375 per person.
If you have children in your flock, feel free to send us an email post@allmuenbistro.no about prices for the little ones who eat less.

For those who want to try new flavors and explore culinary combinations to the fullest. Here you can taste everything from farm to sea, and land to restaurant in a 5-course menu of seasonal favorites made from local ingredients from Western Norway.
Upon request, we serve a corresponding beverage package with a fantastic selection from the house sommelier - 850kr.
À LA CARTE
On the a la carte menu you'll find large and small sharing dishes, snacks, cheese and dessert. You choose and put together according to taste and how hungry you and your group are.

We do not publish the menu in advance. We source locally grown ingredients daily, and the menu is determined by what is available from local producers in Western Norway. This is the core of our concept.
