Christmas Brunch in Downtown Bergen
Five weekends before Christmas, we serve Christmas brunch at Allmuen Bistro at Torgallmenningen, both Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 3 pm. Christmas brunch costs 425 kr per person. The table is set with dishes to share: pancakes with syrup and bacon, poached eggs with hollandaise, scones with homemade jam and chicken sandwiches, served with gløgg. The first day is Saturday 21 November.
In 2025, all the Christmas brunch dates were fully booked.

What's served at a Christmas brunch?
The dishes are served all at once, and you help yourselves from the platters. We make the jam for the scones ourselves in the kitchen.

Ten days spread over five weekends, from Saturday, November 21, to Sunday, December 20, 2026. All days from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this period, the Christmas brunch is also the Saturday brunch.

The restaurant can accommodate up to 35 guests. If you have a larger group, the Christmas party at Schøtstuene can accommodate 30 to 130 guests.
Why have a Christmas brunch at Allmuen?
Allmuen is a casual seasonal bistro at Torgallmenningen, which opened on December 10, 2016. We make our own jams, preserves, and fermented foods right here in our kitchen. Our ingredients come from producers we know in Western Norway, such as Homlagarden in Norheimsund, which supplies the organic chicken for our Christmas brunch.
